Week 9 of the Engage Program saw participants completing the nationally recognised White Card course (CPCWHS1001), an important step towards employment, apprenticeships, and future opportunities in the construction and trades industries.

Delivered by Safenet at YSpace Cooma, students learned essential workplace health and safety skills including:

✅ Hazard identification

✅ Workplace risk management

✅ PPE and safe work procedures

✅ Legal rights and responsibilities

✅ Incident reporting and emergency response

All attending students successfully completed the course requirements and passed their assessments, achieving an important milestone towards future employment pathways and industry readiness. Students also began preparing for the next stage of the process by creating their Access Canberra accounts to finalise their White Card applications.
