Kayne Forklift Certified!
The Worldview Foundation team in the ACT proudly congratulated current Worldview Intensive (Holistic Employment Pathway) participant, Kayne, on earning his forklift driver’s licence. This is a significant achievement that will not only benefit the team during his time in the program, but more importantly strengthen his prospects as he prepares to transition into full-time employment.
Worldview Foundation continues to put “Closing the Gap” into action across Canberra and Brisbane through its employment pathway initiatives. These programs support young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men experiencing disadvantage by providing paid, job-readiness training, ongoing mentoring, and guidance in identifying long-term career goals. From there, the focus is on helping each participant map and take the practical steps needed to reach meaningful, sustainable employment.
Plans to expand into Sydney and Melbourne are well underway, and the Worldview team is eager to see this growth realised. The sooner these programs reach new communities, the sooner more of our young First Nations men will have the opportunity to move beyond disadvantage and build a pathway toward stable employment and a renewed future.
