Visiting CIT Woden
This morning, the Worldview Foundation team had the opportunity to visit the new CIT Woden Campus at the invitation of Kaitlin Wickens, where we explored the Electric Vehicle TAFE Centre of Excellence (EV TCoE) and the exciting career pathways emerging in the EV industry.
A key highlight was learning about the Work-Ready program currently in development, designed to support young First Nations people into employment within the EV sector. The program will give Pathway Participants the chance to attend weekly sessions over a semester and gain a Statement of Attainment in Automotive Career Pathways, creating a direct entry point into Certificate III Automotive training, with credit transfers already built in.
The tour and presentations gave our young men a real sense of where the future of the motor vehicle industry is heading, and what’s possible for them within it.
A big thank you to Kaitlin and the EV TCoE team for their time and for sharing such valuable insights.
