WV Technologies Lands a Spot on the Australian Financial Review’s Sustainability Leaders List

Delivering business value while tackling sustainability and social challenges is at the core of WV Tech’s mission – but it goes beyond the ones and zeros of IT asset disposal, to the environmental benefits, to resource recovery in a modern take on Caring for Country, to setting up Australia’s Indigenous youth for success. Most of the work WV Tech does is centered around secure IT asset disposals – erasing all data from our customers computers, phones, and data centres and then refurbishing, reselling, or donating said devices. Those devices that require an even more secure touch are sent to our hammer mill at our Fyshwick site in Canberra, to be securely destroyed.

The WV Technologies site in Canberra, where assets are securely destroyed, is one of the many sites around Australia where Worldview Foundation graduates step into employment and begin building their futures.

The win is an honour for WV Technologies but it also speaks to the innovation and strength of WV Technologies and Worldview Foundation model. The pipeline of Indigenous employees from Worldview Foundation to WV Tech and the holistic mentoring and wrap-around support from Indigenous mentors is more that just a talking point, it’s real social impact, for our Worldview Foundation graduates and to the partners of WV Technologies.
